Fly Phoenix! Fly!!!

Just finished watching “Flight of the Phoenix” starring Dennis Quaid (A Certified DILF!)

It’s a movie about a group of unsuccessful oil riggers, a company representative, 2 pilots and an airplane designer on their way to Beijing, China after an unsuccessful digging for oil… While on the way to China, they where caught in the middle of a (desert?) storm, the airplane designer named Elliot who just hitched a ride told Frank Towns (Quaid) that the plane wouldn’t make but did not listened, hence the plane was damaged and they crashed in the middle of the Mongolian Desert. With strong hopes of being rescued, Towns decided that they wait for help to arrive so as to minimize consumption of water and food…

People got irritated and began losing hope of being rescued when the brilliant (?) Elliot announced that they can make a new plane out of the old one… At first people are hesitant of the plan, but agreed later on… While building the plane, they discovered a group of bandits camping near their area, they tried to ask for help but the bandits attacked them and Towns using a pistol killed the bandits but one escaped… With that settled they continued to build the plane…

As they were about to finish the plane, they can see bandits from the horizon patiently waiting for them to weaken and hence can never retaliate…

After the said and done, they finished the Plane and named it “Phoenix” and just before getting ready to fly, they discovered what Elliot really does for a living, yes he is a plane designer, plane models that is… The one controlled by remote controllers… They went from happy to a negative zero then Towns started confronting Elliot saying that the Phoenix will not fly… During their argument, wind started to blow and made the Phoenix hover… With that and their hopes renewed they started planning their journey homeward bound… But the wind got strong and they had to run for cover…

After the sandstorm, they find the Phoenix half – buried with sand… Despair started to set in, but with enough encouragement from Towns, they started digging and prepared the plane for flight…

Now ready for flying, they only have 5 shots at making the plane fly… 1st shot… Damn it! 2nd shot… Damn! Damn! Damn! 3rd shot… Eternal Damnation… They started to lose hope… AGAIN! Towns decided to use the 4th shot to clean the pipings of the plane, hence dropped their chances of freedom to a mere almost nothing… 5th shot… The miracle happened… but to their dismay, the bandits started to gallop towards them, soon they made the Phoenix run… With bandits after them shooting, they almost lost their rudder… Luckily Elliot repaired it and the Phoenix dropped from the runway… And then it happened… The Phoenix flew…

The End…

That’s it… If it wasn’t for Dennis Quaid I wouldn’t have watched the movie…

He is so adorable…

Mr. Quaid, pick me up will you?
