Crash...
It was a movie about racism, family matters and one's inner self convictions...
The movie was set at a 2-day time frame the present today and what happened yesterday that lead to what happened TODAY...
It was somewhat a star studded movie, Sandra Bullock, Brendan Frasier, Ryan Phillipe and Matt Dillon, as far as I can remember / have known...
Sandra Bullock portrays a self - centered woman who is always angry but doesn't know why she is so... She then realizes what she lacks was she ignores the feelings of others, what is important was herself and herself only...
Brendan on the other hand was the partner of Sandra, he is the workaholic type of person and he does not have ample time to connect with Sandra, they're only form of formal communication is from phone to phone...
Ryan and Matt were police men. Matt was a racist, he hates black people. Ryan hates Matt for being a racist...
As the story unfolds Matt being a racist harrassed a black female, the wife of a film director while they are being questioned, he touched the female's genitals while "searching" for something, her husband being very passive to avoid any dillema, let it passed by... Another scene shows Matt asking for help for his father, he was talking to a black female social worker, and being what he was, he insulted the social worker, hence he was not given the help he was asking for... He was pissed, so was the female... On the climax of the movie he was confronted with a dillema, there has been an accident and he was on patrol of the area, he was helping the car crash victim, the victim was the female she harrassed earlier, the woman refused her help but was saved by Matt... This made him realize what he has done earlier...
Ryan on the other hand, decided to leave Matt as his partner and go solo for he cannot take Matt's racist attitude... At first he was this all goody goody guy but at the end he himself find out that he has this racist side and killed a black person accidentally...
On the back drop of the movie there were other characters of different races, there were this persian family mistaken for arabs and thus harrased by others... And this Latino family who was attacked by the Persian father mistaking that the cause of the robbery to their shop was due to the negligence of the latino guy to fix the door of his shop...
*sigh*
I can't remeber anything else... All in all the movie was great and worth watching, I was touched and my point of view was somewhat changed...
Color is just skin deep, it should not seperate us as human beings for we are the same... Color, tradition, nationality, language, whatever it is we are one in the same, so let us not make barriers between us for hate starts within ourselves and infects others... Stop the Hating...
