Friends...

Yesterday afternoon Roi called me… The start of the conversation was our typical “O ano?” scenario… Until he popped the most unintelligible question he always asks for quite sometime now… “Kamusta na kayo ni Doy?” I readily answered “Ano naman ang meron?” He nonchalantly answered “Dib a friends kayo? Bakit di kayo nag uusap?” “Ano naman ang dapat naming pagusapan?” I snapped back… Then I explained to him…

“Roi there is this e-mail I received regarding the types of friends you will encounter in your lifetime…”

These are:

Friends for a SEASON…

Friends for a REASON…

and

Friends for a LIFETIME…

I explained to him that SEASON friends are those friends that come and go just like your classmates from school…

Friends for a REASON are those friends that after you have shared something with him / her and / or, as I put it in my mouth, after you’ve “used” (pardon me for the word used) each other, meaning you have used him / her or he / she used you or both of you used each other and benefited through the course, should go and when I say go, they should go go… With no strings attached… Ahahaha…

And to finish my explanation to him I told him that LIFETIME friends are them…

Then he laughed a bit and asked, “San si Doy don?” I answered “Sa REASON!” and laughed…

Then we talked about pRO and stuff and about Mark’s love life and such…

*Sigh*

It’s really nice to have friends… Sometimes they are better than your family… They are like the sibling you didn’t have…

And as for those reading this… You know where you belong… =)
